McDonogh is dedicated to being a truly diverse and 包容 community.

Board of Trustees Diversity, 股本, and 包容 Committee

The Board of Trustees is committed to the work of making sure McDonogh School is a diverse, 公平的, 包容性的机构. To that end, in July 2020, an 股本 Committee of the Board was established as a standing group. This committee ensures open dialogue at the board level and helps to foster, 鼓励, 并强调多样性的重要性, 股本, 和包容.

The MPA 股本 and 包容 Committee was created to provide specialized support to the McDonogh community and enable the development of appropriate skills and cultural competencies in order to further facilitate the continued success of McDonogh students. These essential efforts are aligned with McDonogh’s mission to “do the greatest possible amount of good.”

亲和空间

McDonogh supports affinity spaces and adheres to NAIS’s Best Practices on the rationale and purpose of affinity spaces. Several student, parent, 教师/工作人员 和校友 affinity spaces have already been established.

FACULTY DIVERSITY LEADERSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

McDonogh 教师 and 工作人员 attend regular in-school professional development around diversity, 股本, 和包容. In addition to on-going school-based professional development, 教师 and 工作人员 are also 鼓励d to participate in national and local conferences.

McDonogh’s Office of 股本 and 包容 is committed to diversity, 股本, 和包容 through an ongoing journey of honest self-反射, 数据分析, 和评估. 

The Director and Divisional Coordinators guide and support the School, with special emphasis on developing learning opportunities for students, 教师, 工作人员, 父母, 和校友. Their goal is to foster an 包容 environment where all members of the McDonogh Family can show up as their authentic selves and work collaboratively with others to do the greatest possible amount of good.
